POWER
FAILURE MEMORY – HOW IT WORKS?
Once the
“Run” key is pressed, the process starts and
micro-controller continuously monitors the process
parameters and saves them in internal memory. At Power
Failure these process parameters are stored in Memory
provided on board. This memory is non-volatile and can
be retained for a long period.
On
resumption of power, the controller restarts and
retrieves the temperature value at power failure and
compares it with actual value on power resumption. If
the drop in temperature is more than 10% of the value at
power failure, then the processor re-starts the process
from beginning and if f the drop in temperature is less
than 10% of the stored value, then the process resumes
from where it stopped at power failure.
This is
done automatically.
WHY
PASSWORD?
Password
is required only to edit process parameters like set
temperature time. Password is not required to Run the
Process with previously set values.
This
facilitates the control of Supervisor or H.O.D over
process parameters set values and permits the Junior
staff / student to run the process without need of
presence to Supervisor / H. O. D.
WHAT IF
PASSWORD FORGOTEN?
If the
user has forgotten Password, then the default Password
can be loaded through Key Switch on the right face of
the control panel.
